ITINERARY:

FIRST DAY:

Our guide meets you in Tena at 8.00 am , and then we go by bus to la Punta de Ahuano (1 hour). There we take a motor canoe along the Rio Napo, most important river of Ecuadorian Amazonia , during around 25 minutes in order to arrive to the lodges where we will stay and from where we can enjoy a wonderful view on the Napo River and the spectacular sunsets. In the camp, a good meal will be waiting for us. Then we will have a walk (3 hours) into the jungle and discover the wildlife and the flora (medicinal plants, 30 meters high trees). Back at the lodges, we can rest and enjoy the dinner in the light of the candles.

SECOND DAY:

After the breakfast, we travel by motor canoe about 20 minutes and then walk during 5 hours to the Rio Blanco Waterfall, in which we can have a well-earned swim. There we will eat our box lunch, too. On the way back, we visit the Rio Blanco Community where we will discover the Quichua Indians' customs and traditions: how they make their ceramics, existing in Amazonia ( el achiote and el guito ). Once we are back to the lodges, we can swim in the River Napo bank. Meal and rest.

THIRD DAY:
We have breakfast and then we navigate by canoe during 40 minutes to Amazoonico, rehabilitation and reintroduction centre for endemic animals of the region. We will see free monkeys, ocelots, capybaras, water and land tortoises, parrots, etc…). Later, we go to the Indian Traditional Tramps Museum , where we can practice using blowpipe. Then we travel back to la Punta de Ahuano and have a lunch before to return to Tena where we end our tour around 5.00 pm.
